every time i look at the comments of a justice video on youtube, people are like, ‘this is the new daft punk’ or ‘daft punk’s alter ego’.  But honestly, they both sound very distinct to me.  maybe the instrumentality is similar, but they kind of both have, like, an emotional signature?

daft punk songs usually make me feel good.  they are so easy to dance too and when they’re very light and sleek and effervescent.

and the only emotions i really get from justice songs are ‘i’m really powerful’ and ‘i’m really cool’

which isn’t a bad thing.  i use justice songs for my villains a lot.  

even though the robots are daft punk, their songs feel so human, whereas justice songs feel so inhuman

daft punk makes me feel like i have a body for the first time and i’m breathing and falling in love and dancing for the first time and loving it.  and justice makes me feel like i’m a godlike supercomputer, dismantling the world piece by piece even as i put it back together to my own will.  

which does work, since one of their songs is called genesis.
